A master plan was developed for the New York Country Club (NYCC) property to follow the optimized open space cluster provisions set forth in the Village of New Hempstead comprehensive plan. This plan for the NYCC permanently protects open space resources as part of a well-planned new development.  With more than half the site proposed for permanent protection through a conservation easement, the plan includes an extensive pathway system and passive public recreation spaces as community amenities for beautiful new home sites and living opportunities in the village.  The goal was to create one of the most appealing new neighborhoods in the Hudson River Valley region - a project designed around an engaging open space network that will add to the assets of the Village of New Hempstead to benefit both current and future generations.
